What’s been happening:

After the Fulbright in Cyprus, I came home (Portland, Maine) fully retired after 40 years of teaching in order to write, but that's gone in circles, and it's more fun to visit grandchildren, swim at the Y, jog in the neighborhood, where the power-walking ladies, often of the grandmotherly age, stream past me and steadily widen the distance between us, whereupon I think of how the truth on the ground so brilliantly and meticulously echoes the truth in soul.
